Description: Explore the heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador from the perspective of our traditional wooden boats. Exhibits display our history from skin-covered kayaks used by indigenous peoples to the punts and dories that were hauled ashore with the Cod Moratorium. Our museum weaves personal experiences of our people to the broader story of fishing communities throughout the province. For a unique experience, join boatbuilder Jerome Canning in the shed or sign-up to take part in a boat building workshop.
