Description: Open May 18 – Oct. 9, 2017. UNIQUE IN THE WORLD….SS KEEWATIN is the only EDWARDIAN PASSENGER STEAMSHIP left in the world. Built in 1907, five years before TITANIC in Goven Scotland this 350 foot, 8 million pound treasure was built for Canadian Pacific to be part of building CANADA. She worked for 55 years carrying people and materials from southern Ontario to the top of Lake Superior and returning with 1600 tons of grain. Now restored to her original post of PORT McNICOLL just north of Barrie Ontario about 90 minutes from downtown Toronto. Keewatin has been lovingly restored by an army of volunteers so everything is in working condition. She is all original and open to the public from May 10th until mid October. Children under 16 free. Escorted tours can take up to 1 1/2 hours. Engine room, all decks, staterooms, public rooms and dining room, kitchens, crew quarters, museum, radio room and wheelhouse all available but NOT handicap accessible and has a number of stairs (including a grand staircase) 10 to 4 each day except Sunday 11 to 4.
