Description: Historic Quebec city centre sets the scene for a sizzling summer music festival, with close to 1.5 million revellers enjoying around 300 acts at a dozen indoor and outdoor venues. Top international superstars such as the Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Bryan Adams, Elton John and Placido Domingo have played at Quebec on the largest self-standing stage in North America, which is bigger than a football pitch! Held over 11 days in July, the Quebec Summer Festival is arguably bigger, better and certainly more affordable than Glastonbury. The Quebec festival has grown from a small music festival in the 1960s, to a world-class event where festival goers can see some of the biggest bands in the universe as well as up-and-coming acts, playing an eclectic mix of music styles from rock to hip-hop, and electro to jazz. Plus, there are fabulous street entertainers performing amazing circus acts, acrobatic stunts or balancing acts on stilts, making Quebec a summer festival for all the family.
