Description: Ann Schroeder makes fine art quilts inspired by the Cape Breton landscapes, weather, and music. When you visit her seaside studio you will also find hand-dyed silk and cotton scarves, greeting cards, collages, bookmarks, and fabric for quiltmakers. She’ll be glad to answer your questions and tell you about her favourite places to hike or listen to local music. More than 100 people of all ages have taken her Fabric Dyeing by the Sea one-day or half-day workshops. No experience is necessary and you don’t have to be ‘artistic,’ just ready to have fun playing with colour and patterns.
